A look into the future.....

I'm thrilled to announce that my new website is almost ready! It's been a non-stop journey to build this new online home for you all. What started as a simple desire to update my site and have my own URL quickly turned into a much larger project. I searched tirelessly for site templates that met my needs and budget, but nothing quite fit. Since this is primarily a hobby, I couldn't justify spending hundreds of dollars on a personal site. So, embracing my inner overachiever, I decided to build it myself. Please know that I have no formal training in web design – and frankly, I'm not sure I want any! I've spent countless hours watching video tutorials, and while I often felt like the awkward kid in the back of the class, I've learned just enough to create a site I hope you'll enjoy. While I anticipate making small tweaks over the coming months, I am 100% satisfied with the outcome. The site should be ready for you to explore in about a week or two. I'll ...

A few of my favorite things!

I'm currently facing a bit of a challenge with my photography. The recent time change has significantly impacted my ability to capture quality photos in the evening, which is precisely when I'm preparing dinner! This has been quite frustrating. While I have some potential blog topics, they aren't what I feel like sharing right now. I refuse to disappoint my readers, so I'm taking a brief hiatus, about a week, to re-evaluate my goals for the rest of the year. Don't worry, I'll be back next week feeling completely refreshed. I genuinely enjoy this blog and have so much more to share with you all! I'm also really looking forward to the new year and all the exciting things to come. I'm always open to your suggestions and comments, so please feel free to connect with m e here . In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share some of my current favorite things with you! I'm slowly but surely learning to knit! While searching for knitting inspiration, ...

Wow! We had a super fun and busy October! We kicked off the month with our first family vacation to the beach, complete with a few silly moments. We wrapped up the month with a fun Halloween and can't wait to get started on November! Jacob's Sand Adventures: Jacob absolutely LOVED playing in the sand! Beach Message: I had to commemorate our trip with a message written in the sand. August Fun in an instagram

Image
August, a whirlwind of activity, has drawn to a close, but it left us with cherished memories. Jacob's transition to kindergarten has been a major shift, and he's navigating this new world remarkably well, even if I'm still adjusting to our entirely new routine. We're finally settling into a rhythm, which is a relief! As September arrives, I'm eagerly anticipating football season. While the thought of chili and all things pumpkin is tempting, I'm holding off until October. Here are some highlights from our busy August: Jacob's New Space: I assembled a desk for Jacob's room, creating a quiet spot for his homework. Anniversary Roses: My wonderful husband surprised me with roses for our 8th anniversary. Lucy's Shopping Bag Ritual: Our sweet Lucy insists on organizing every shopping bag after I've emptied them! Work Conference: As an employee of a healthcare company, I attended a Chief of Staff conference at the Opryland Hotel and was fo...

July Fun

My sweet Lucy loves being outdoors and even manages to sit still for a bit! "Pretty rainbow!" "Silly boy!" Jacob graduated preschool! (Sniff, sniff!) A snapshot from after the ceremony. Jacob and his best bud Abbott, who have been together since infancy. (Sniff, sniff! I need a Kleenex!) A sweet picture of Gabe, Jacob, and me after his graduation. Sibling love—there's nothing quite like it! Lucy loves to paint (or eat paint, you decide!). I captured some amazing bubble shots while friends were visiting; this one was the best! Being silly at a stop light! My friend Tammy and I enjoyed a fabulous girls' weekend trip to the lake to visit a dear friend. We were treated like queens in her amazing home—she's such a gracious host! 9-11. Simply beautiful! Kayaking for the first time was so much fun! While at the lake, we dined at the fabulous Chef Prepared restaurant, Foothills Milling Co. This place had a four-page article in Southern Living Magazine! If you...
